Do I need a driving license?

No, a permit to drive a moped or being born before 1964 is sufficient.

Can I ride the Freeliner in mountainous regions?

Yes, even with a payload of 150 kg, you can cope with slopes of over 15%.

Am I allowed to ride the Freeliner in pedestrian areas?

Due to a part time tilt speed limiter to 6 km / h, the Freeliner is usable in pedestrian zones and shopping areas, subject to your Invalide pass.

Is it possible to transport the e-bike board with my car?

Yes, due to the folding mechanism and the comparatively low weight, it fits into almost any car boot.

Do I need to wear a helmet whilst driving?

No, up to 20 km / h no helmet is required by law. However, we recommend that you wear a lightweight helmet.

 

How do I charge the battery of my Freeliner?

Recharging the battery can take place via intermediate charges either on the vehicle or at home on a 230/110 volt outlet.

How do I insure my Freeliner?

The Freeliner is classified as a moped. Therefore it needs to be insured for vehicles up to 50cc, renewed anually. Any insurance company will insure your vehicle.

I have a handicap; do the paying authorities or my underwriter pay a subsidy to the vehicle?

It is depending on whether your underwriter or the paying authorities will cover the costs. Your dealer will assist you finding out.
